My family asks me this question every year as of course we ask them. Well...

Like many people in this season it's a bit tight on time. Family, friends, maybe illness, loss on any number of levels. Viruses seem to be kicking up all over. And our focus on the Christ Child and gatherings (when possible) means a time-certain re. worship events, parties, gifting and such.

Due to all this and more one of several ideas I had this year isn't finished. Maybe next year? Well in any case, I demoed 3 different approaches to the following on 3 string and 1 string slide guitars and just don't have time to choose and get it done. So here's the lyric.

Prayers and hopes for my readers to know, walk with and give deep thanks for the most important Person to ever walk the earth!

As always, thanks for stopping by! -Glenn

WHAT I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS -glenn kaiser

What I want for Christmas

Is no more pandemics

The ending of war in the Mideast,

What I want for Christmas

Is Ukraine safe and stable

Right here an' 'round the earth-

World peace

That hunger would end

Homelessness be over

Racism and classism be done,

That hatred of a neighbor

Be swallowed up in grace

Forgiveness, shine like the sun

If we treat one another

Like we treat the earth

We self destruct, and blow away

The star that moved the wise men

To seek eternal love

Calls us to live another way

That all of God's children

Would act like we were

And mercy and compassion be the norm,

What I need this Christmas

And every day beyond it is

The Love that came to save us Christmas morn
