Who Controls Speech?

The answer to my above question is simple: each of us as individuals do- or do not. The second part of the answer is: those who control public messages, press, social media, radio and tv broadcasting, advertising, public conversation. The communists and other dictators as well as government powers in democratic nations -and to a degree, parents and other care providers either do or work hard at it.
It's done voluntarily as well as by edict, law, prosecution and police and/or military force. We seek truth or merely our own interests seeking teachers as we have "itching ears" only for our own desires to be met.
The core issue is who should have the RIGHT to determine what you and I think, do, vote, read, watch, listen to, believe?
While this has long been debated, I've written about propaganda enough over the years (i.e. "No Props For Propaganda posted in October of 2012" on my old Wordpress site: https://gkaiser.wordpress.com/2012/10/21/no-props-for-propaganda/) it's obvious to me from my early teens to this day how control of the message affects entire nations including who lives, dies and the freedoms we all desire (or wish we had).
The absolute One Who both deserves and by His love and provision for us offers true freedom by HIS WORD and our voluntary daily obedience and relationship to Him in love is too often left out of the thinking or even used by those who seek or demand hard-core control over people. The other issue in that is co-opting God, Jesus Christ and even the Bible to either gain or keep control over those of us unwilling to face the truth of lies used to run sheep in the direction the control freak/s so desire. That of course has zero to do with genuine faith, trust, hope and love in, from or toward the true God!
Think and think again before you speak- and for a meal of this or that sell your birthright to those whose love of power is more than love for Jesus and His Word as well as "the least of these" who such despots seek to control.
As always, thanks for stopping by! -Glenn
