The Simple Things...

This morning I sat in the car warming it for 3 family members needing my "free taxi services" heh... and enjoyed my coffee with lite, gentle flurries wafting down here in Chicago. I'm sorry for the craziness and even dangers of a blizzard now happening in PA and NY, prayers up for my friends out East!

But my simple point is simple pleasures like the couple I mentioned, hot water for a shower I'll take in an hour after other errands are finished, the warm smile of my beautiful wife, kind chats and prayer times with my daughters, even on occasion being asked to play guitar while one of them leads worship -sooooo many simple pleasures in my life -and yours!!

How often do we give the Lord thanks for such things?

I prayed in the night for our Christian (and not) sisters and brothers in Ukraine and elsewhere where enough good food, hot or sometimes -any- water is hard to come by. Sitting in the 20 year old car we steward I still have great heat in the winter... all thanks to the God Who provides. So many are in such deep need.

God give us grace to notice the simple but near-constant blessings when we are tempted to get overwhelmed, complain or get envious over what others have. If it's good, James reiminds us God gave it, He's the Source! Let's give Him the honor and credit HE is due!

Gratefully yours, and as always, thanks for stopping by. -Glenn

Share?! WHY?!

I mean, why share when you can have it -all- for yourself? Or just share some of this or that, you know, a bit with those you already love. Well... doesn't God do that in the end? Ahhh... nope. "When

A Baptism of Clear Seeing...

From A. W. Tozer's "The Root of the Righteous": " We need a baptism of clear seeing. We desperately need seers who can see through the mist – Christian leaders with prophetic vision. Unless they come
