"Personal" Jesus?

So different people interpret what having a "personal" Jesus is all about.

For some the reality is they don't have such. In simple terms, to them He is an idea, a concept or perhaps only a myth and not a historic person who walked the earth. To some Jesus is simply an academic figure, one to be studied in the same way some think of the Bible not as the Word of God, holy and inspired by Him scripture but literature to be studied as one might study any literary piece.

My understanding of Jesus is much like what I have with my wife, that is, a daily conversation, a study of His Words, ways and attitudes as well as the core heart-truths He both taught and lived while walking the earth -and when He rose from the dead gave shocking reality to all He said and did -and in my life daily (ready??) now does!

I believe the crucified, risen and coming again Jesus Christ is exactly who He said He is, Who the prophets proclaimed, Who the scriptures speak of from Genesis to Revelation (where He speaks a great deal) and before ALL will bow with eyes seeing Him... THEN.

So what about right now, each moment, each day?

Relationship with Him has many levels but what "personal" means in my life is all I've said here, as with my wife, daily conversations, caring about what He thinks, desires and what He directs me to do in my choices, with my time and life. Daily. Daily. Moment-by-moment.

Of course others have various degrees of such a relationship to the genuine Risen Christ, and so I also enjoy interaction with them -at least the far extent of the time :)

I cannot speak for you dear reader, but my wish is that you'd know Him in a more and growing intimacy prior to that day you will see Him as all will -face-to-face.

As always, thanks for stopping by. -Glenn

Faith -that- Works?

Yep. Years ago we had a kitchen plaque that said "Not faith or works, not faith and works- but faith that works". Yup. And the only way it does in the will of God is... "by love" and that meaning HIS

Faith and Faithfulness...

See, they ain't the exact same. Faith is often discussed as in she or he "is a person of faith" and that's cool, but the practical way of actually seeing such in a person's life is by their faithfulne

Blessed Are the Raging?

Well, actually, Jesus said "Blessed are the peacemakers" and of course there's plenty of God's Word in both Testaments calling us to both live in and to work for peace. Peace with God in our own life
