God Our Source: Un-sourced!

In His Word (Bible) and via the vast majority of serious theologians teach that God is revealed to us as THE Creator. He Himself is UNcreated, UNchanging, Perfect, ALL-KNOWING. None of us are -any- of those... nor can we be.
We, His children, borrow from Him as the Source of all truth and reality- He borrows from no one and nothing. He directly and through others inspires us. Nobody "inspires" Him in that sense.
We imagine and create in part from various other human ideas and concepts, we collaborate information in our minds and put pen to paper, type, sing, use musical instruments, chisels on granite, paint on canvas and dance and invent as the result of a wide range of stimulus -but at core we create via what we're given or discover.
No being, no entity living or dead has given God anything -He allows Himself to be discovered but He discovers -nothing- not ever -as He is eternally all-knowing. He has no beginning nor end!
If you follow me in this line of thinking you'll perhaps understand why it's essential we give GOD all glory, praise and thanksgiving for all He is and all He does as well as for what He gives to you and I dear reader, for no human has ever "sourced" God nor could they!
How sad we humans manufacture false "gods" of our own making as per our own self-centered desires rather than recognize, respect, worship, follow and love the real One Who has revealed Himself in Jesus Christ. He created us in His Own image while, as some have said, we try to "return the favor" and end up with a god of our own creation rather than seeking, finding, discovering the One True God and Father of us all.
Once again I play my continuing textual "tune"- we are not God and it's a travesty and sick joke to pretend otherwise. Such mythological thinking leads to confusion, arrogance and lies about the Father/Son/Spirit. It is idolatry which is another thing humans have created from the beginning though God had revealed Himself as God alone "and there is no other"!
We add no "value" to Him- and yet He values us even to the extent of Jesus's death and resurrection. He love us because He loves us... chooses us!
What we think about God affects everything else in our thinking -and sadly, some of us refuse to think with the very mind He has given us so run our thoughts and lives off to waste and folly. Please consider the importance of all this.
And as always, I thank you for stopping by. -Glenn
Glenn, my friend - what a rich and deeply needed word you've written. As I was reading, I found myself nodding along, and yet somehow still undone by the weight of what you're pointing toward.
You're absolutely right! From Genesis to Revelation, the story is never about us ascending to God, it's about a God so vast, so complete, so utterly self-sufficient that His reaching down to us is nothing short of staggering to me. He is uncreated. Unchanging. He doesn't discover truth, He IS truth. He doesn't grow in wisdom, He IS wisdom. I was instantly reminded of Isaiah: 'To whom will you compare Me? Or who is My equal?' (Isaiah 40:25). The answer, of course, is no one…
