Lemon, Linux or Libertarian?

So not everybody's fave desert is lemon ice. But you already knew that. My Wendi makes low carb lemon bars that are ROCKIN' but that's another matter.

There are chocolate ice cream lovers, people who favor vanilla and you get my point.

My fave computer operating system is Linux (technically Gnu/Linux but few call it that) and to further complicate it there are easily over 100 quite different variances in look, feel and apps in Linux systems depending on which "distro" or "flavor" you prefer regarding what you'll most use it for. Quite different landscape than Windows or Mac either of which may be your fave go-to system those also having some variables depending on the version installed. Considering mobile phones there's also besides Apple (Mac), Android (a tweaked Linux). Choices galore and we all seem to have our faves.

Democrat, Republican, Green or Libertarian political parties (in the U.S.)? I don't neatly fit in any of these categories being Independent.

It's interesting how Christian churches, various iterations be it denominations, house churches, more traditional but fully autonomous churches and you-name-it come in such a wide, wide and wider variety -and are often criticized due to the lack of monoculture. Go figure, as if everyone MUST choose metal, polkas, blues or classical music due to no options, choices or preferences?!!

See, I sometimes find myself thinking how in truth we want others to choose same as we do and on occasion even to the point of trying to somehow force them to "see it OUR way -or the highway!" Hmmmm...

I have long been convinced not even God Himself literally forces prodigals to come home.

Years ago I wrote and recorded a REZ Band song called "You Get What You Choose". In part, that means you may not get, like or even care about what I choose/chose. Of course!

What is so shocking or even surprising about that??

Meanwhile to judge the entire Church of Jesus on earth as if there are no options is like saying the entirety of the earth is rock. No, there is also water, forests, fields, swampland, mountains which also contain a lot of dirt and more, etc..

One size rarely "fits all" and the sooner we humbly acknowledge that as well as admit we don't WANT but one monolithic choice, the more sensible we are likely to become when considering where we may well find peace and our own best place to park!

The one absolute I believe and understand from God's Word (Bible) is Jesus' claim to be the ONE WAY to genuine, right relationship to/with God. He does, as does the Father, claim exclusivity -and alone is fully legit in doing so.

As always, thanks for stopping by. -Glenn

I love your insight on this point. so many people, including church family, want to argue their point on a matter that is not essential. I have found over all these years not to let them "drain me" of my time and energy. Some topics are essential, but so very much time is wasted arguing "my view" non-essential. while we waste our time on that, we miss opportunity to help hurting, hungry people that God wants to reach thru His body! Blessings, JJ
