Goodbyes -and None

There are points of epiphany, ports of call, memorial moments such as birth, death, marriage, deep communion with others, with God. Memories are often extremely sweet, severely brutal and all sorts in-between.

A fellowship of friends that ended, a church congregation shut and no more, dear family, place of work you truly loved, your health or sense of warm security- gone.

Life, my friends, ebbs and flows like sea tides. Changes slowly or rapidly happens and the calendar is never static.

I wish to remind us that after the bittersweet goodbyes we ever move toward meeting God Who had us in mind to love before we were a gleam in our mother's eye and to a city, a community of HIS making that has no end.

It is that love, that eternal communion with Father, Son and Spirit with all the saints of God that is the future, I say again Eternal future we approach regardless of the shifts of wind, futile self-as-god foolishness of this present world.

Faith, hope and love in Christ Jesus will come to complete fruition when every tear will be wiped away, every hurt healed, every knee bowing in worship because God in His grace is impossible to change, defeat or re-create in the image of temporal, fickle, changing flesh.

The Incarnation brought revelation of the greatest transformation given and offered to humankind.

That future day comes! :)

Then: No. More. Goodbyes.

Alleluia!

As always, thank you for stopping by.-Glenn

I’m for zero clutter too but I still have a large collection of CORNERSTONE magazines that I’ve been saving for decades. I’m saving my Resurrection Band albums, cassettes and CDs.

CORNERSTONE FESTIVALS were the best gatherings I’ve ever attended.
