Glory, Honor, Dominion

There will come a time when time as we know it shall be no more. After He folds up the world "like a scroll" and all the saints of God are gathered in, God Himself will be accorded that which He alone has deserved from before time itself: His honor, glory and dominion supercedes and has always superceded the honors, glories and dominions of humans.

This is much disowned by those who deny God exists and/or that they themselves ought to be the supreme objects of honor and glory, the holders and rightful focus of dominion (supreme authority, sovereignty, control). Every knee will not bow before any of us! Every tongue will never confess we are Lord!!

Our intent and desire must be to honor and glorify Father/Son/Spirit, to love Him, His Word and all people regardless of -all else-. Each of us fail in this quest no matter how deeply we contemplate and actually strive for it, but the One Who Alone is Worthy deserves it and the end of the matter is that all will finally come to experience that He shall have it!

“How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God?" -John 5.44

There is a proper glory-seeking for His followers but it is to seek what HE determines, not "our will be done" to our own praise and self-worship.

“He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him." -John 7.18

The practical truth is we each live these verse 18 words of Jesus out and trust in His righteousness and judgement over our own or we are in error if not lost indeed.

"saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and majesty and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might belong to our God forever and ever. Amen.” -Revelation 7.12

These are deep, heart issues and lived-out life matters for all who profess to follow Jesus -and they shall be faced in the Day of Judgement. Wisdom calls us to face them here and now.

As always, thanks for stopping by. -Glenn

Easier to Destroy

Well, that little phrase is often super-true unless we're talking about sin, habits, desires we decide we want to overcome. I've been a fan of the real football for most of my life (often called socce

Swinging Doors

There is an old saying- "the door swings both ways". The problem of the church and I mean any church local or denominational or larger church on earth is that sometimes our doors are open and sometime
