Speculation

The definition of this word often boils down to guessing, considering a possible outcome. Thus- forming theory without firm evidence -or- investment in stocks, property and such with hope of gain but including risk of loss. All of this is common with most people in most places on earth. I actually created a little zine titled "Risk" regarding faith in Jesus. I risk messing up every time I build a little guitar or create a lyric, blog post, etc., so you get the picture.

I do not much focus on Bible prophesy though (believe it or not) we all live and function -in- it regardless of belief or specific interpretations of it. Therefore what I now write is mere speculation though of course we shall see what happens if/as it does or does not.

Been thinking about how the Jewish nation did not expect a suffering servant Messiah but rather a conquering king, therefore when Jesus came on the scene many never believed He was Who He said He was.

Regardless (I say again REGARDLESS) what you think or believe, just as all the prophecies that spoke about the Messiah proved quite different to what most of the people of Israel expected (speculated about) I have been wondering if all that now happens (as I write, June 14, 2025) will culminate in Israel itself bringing on Armageddon (as per Book of Revelation and other biblical prophecies) where due to political power, dictators and ignorant/foolish/morally bankrupt national "leaders" wrongly speculate and thus comes the end, that is, a World War III and perhaps as Peter mentions "the elements will melt with fervent heat"... what... perhaps in some part via nukes? Again- I'm personally not fully convinced this is how it will play out, but what if?

Trust me, I don't think about all this very often and do not lie in bed at night worrying over the stacks of "MAYbe's", not at all.

It's simply something I have thought about as the world's violent and corrupt play out. Sometimes God uses a Pharaoh or two or six of them to fulfill His ultimate plan. It's happened plenty in the Old Testament historical record as well as world history.

Keep your lamp trimmed and burning if you are truly following Jesus.

Unless HE is your Lord and Savior you have none.

Hard, sobering truth, that, but essential. As always, thanks for stopping by. -Glenn

We don't who the Lord will use or how it will come about, we can only speculate as you said. But we know it's certain. Come Lord Jesus!
