When one considers Paul's 1st and 2nd letters to the people of the church in Corinth -and recognizes the hot mess they often were even as fully blessed by God as they were (which Paul cites several times) we can and should live in hope if we seek and follow Jesus, imperfectly as we all do.

There are several verses that are so incredibly encouraging which I'll send you to via the link but here I simply wish to focus on what he wrote in 1 Corinthians chapter 1 and verse 8:

"He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you may be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ." (my italics for emphasis)

I mean... blameless? Really? How is it that in that day we shall be reckoned such by God? Paul's very next comment is that God is faithful... it's His doing, not ours at the very core. Such is the love of God for those He calls His own!

The English translation from the Greek "blameless" is packed with meaning. See here for a deep and quite uplifting dive also including several verses that speak to the issue/s: https://biblehub.com/greek/410.htm

This is what Jesus has done for those who believe and follow Him. Here, in the earthly, "natural" sense we can rightly shake our heads, face the real fact we sometimes sin, must repent, ask forgiveness, etc., but there comes that day when the people of God stand without fault before the Father due to the Son's death and resurrection. Amazing, amazing, AMAZING -grace- (un-earned favor, mercy, pardon, forgiveness) Alleluia!!!

The other term that leaps out in the verse is "confirm" or "sustain"- see this for more of all He gives us as we seek Him and walk with Him daily: https://biblehub.com/greek/950.htm

Thank Almighty, Loving God for all He does in the life of a believer in relationship with the risen Jesus! Thanksgiving, praise and worship are sooooooo due Him!

And as always, thanks for stopping by :) -Glenn
