Provider?

Unless God is Jehovah-Jireh (the God Who provides) there are times and situations in our lives we -have no provision-. Reality.

Our ignorance, lack of humility, deficit of "eyes to see" often obscures this fact, and further that "every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of heavenly lights", "...and my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory", even that "God gives us all things to richly enjoy" and plenty more Bible truths, stories of His provision plus centuries of the same in people's lives around the world -including yours and mine dear reader!

Our lack of humility, thinking we're o.k. on our own without Him, not recognizing it's from HIS hand we're fed and the like doom us to self-preservation, self-seeking and selfish lives.

If you've heard very much of my many years of lyrics or messages, interviews or such, or read my writings you already know I constantly speak about our ACTIONS, that we must take personal responsibility to apply God's Word, to WALK and not merely talk regarding all our life needs and those of people around us so there is no dodging what I'm writing here as cheap grace or ignoring our own decisions and willingness to do -our- part-. So believe me when I say there are some things you. just. can't. accomplish. without. HIM.

Eternal LIFE, salvation in Jesus Christ, healing (yes, even via doctors and meds), food on the plate and basic needs ultimately come to us through God's provision when He brings it via our own choices, human help, effort and expertise -and sometimes directly.

For God SO LOVED the world that He GAVE Jesus to us. Why? Oh my, let's start with the fact it's impossible to be our own Savior and we are lousy, fake, 99th grade trainwreck "lords" in comparison to Him.

God provides light, life, all things -and eternity with Him and His if we will in faith follow Him, recognize He indeed is our Provider and glorify Him by our attitudes, in our prayers and by our actions as well.

Things to consider now and always.

And as always, thanks for stopping by. -Glenn
