On This Beautiful June Day

On this mid-June day it's truly beautiful in Chicago weather-wise. Our garden is full of blooming flowers, birds happy and I'm super content.

Not so for many migrants/immigrants, people in Ukraine and Russia, Gaza, Israel and surrounding nations, Northern Ireland and of course areas in Chicago with extreme poverty, fear and all over the U.S., addictions of all sorts. Injustice due to extremism, power or lack of power is reality, nothing new about this.

So I ponder God's incredible mercy and kindness in my life as I continually am reminded of the often life-threatening issues throughout an often cruel, unjust world. Whew. What a contrast... The God of hope clings to me and I to Him among people who are so often "without hope and without God in the world". Mercy Jesus!!

As always, thanks for stopping by. -Glenn
