Living for What?

We all live for something and hopefully Someone! I do live for my dear wife, kids, grandkids and church family and the larger church in the world and those far outside of all these -but at core I live for and by my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So as I consider Paul's straight-up testimony in the Word of God... well, he nails it. Is THIS not what all followers of Jesus should be about?? I think so regardless of the gifts the Spirit has or has not given each of us.

There are many ways to "testify" which of course includes using words, actions, extending grace to those who hear, see, hopefully recognizing something different about us when all around seems to go to pieces in despair, hopelessness, torment, rage and payback rather than a demonstration of God's love and grace. Please think of this as you read Paul's statement below.

And as always, thanks for stopping by. -Glenn

"But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God's grace."

-Acts 20.24

A Deeper Muse on "Alienated"

Haven't we all felt and been on various levels treated like aliens (illegal, legal) and don't a massive amount of people do the same to Jesus? Yes. Denying Him, "othering" Him. He knows how it feels,

Isolation

Faith in the Unfaithful?

How difficult to have faith in an unfaithful person! Some judge God and you and I as not worthy of respect as neither always seems to provide reasons to trust. We simply don't always get what we want
