LEARNING NEW THINGS -glenn kaiser 12/05/23

On the way to riding a bike I hit the dirt quite a bit -until one day, flying down the street like the wind! I had learned to balance while pedalling. There's a message right there.

So many people want to learn this or that but give up having failed, sometimes often. I understand.

I never wanted to learn new card games because for me the various rules might seem extra-complicated. Then at some point coming back to it again and again "the lights came on" and I got it!

One reason I've taught people on 1 string slide guitars (diddley bow approach) is because it's so easy to both learn and indeed understand the basic concepts of how to play but even how to write songs on such a primitive instrument.

Learning how to use language with kindness, empathy and with true patience is a long-term need for all of us and the more I have traveled the world the greater all these things have come into play in my life. The beauty is caring more for others than focusing on yourself.

IF (big lil' word there...) you share a goal with another person... and IF you are willing to communicate knowing you will both make mistakes, on your own end of it apologizing when needing to, both trying again together, well you can learn a great deal -and not just regarding the specific area of interest.

Oh how our world and yes, churches need to learn such things.

God give us grace and persistence, the commitment to learning!

As always, thanks for stopping by :) -Glenn
