I Was a Stranger and...

It is in one sense astonishing to me that the scene in Revelation chapter 7 will happen then but plenty of professing Christians want none of it in the here-and-now.

John wrote of the heavenly vision God give him: "Before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb." Revelation 7.9

In another sense, one of the most glaring, obvious realities of migrants living in our country (and other nations as well) plus those seeking asylum here and elsewhere are in many cases already our brothers and sisters in Christ!! Let that sink in.

"I was a stranger and you took me in..." or not. -Jesus, Matthew chap. 25

Two more points that I will state plainly here: racism still exists loud and clear among plenty who claim to follow Jesus, and lastly, if we so easily break fellowship with other believers in our own country who don't think, act and vote as we do is it not sadly understandable we do so with those from other lands, races, and cultures as well? Let's quit lecturing one another about division when in fact so many deeply WANT it!

God have mercy, we are too often in short supply of it even toward our sisters and brothers in Christ.
