GK Update End of April, 2026

Well, had a cold that I finally got over, Wendi and I share everything, ha! She's doing fine, and we both have had the typical health checkups, so far so good Alleluia! Busy with one another, family and for myself a great many gigs.

Over the past 3 weeks we were blessed with friends in Anoka, Minnesota who were amazing, nice turnout and had a sweet time doing a solo show. Truly the exact same, solo in Beloit at their annual anniversary concert night. Wendi was able to come with me on both of those, so grateful to travel together. Last night Roy and Ed (and Hilde doing merch) came out and we did a GKB gig in Cary, IL. As per the other 2 shows, a load of old friends, new friends, some two and three generations came together so all three shows were a treat for me. This past Tuesday I led worship (blues-style) at Cook Co. Jail and so it's been a busy time, all good -but I confess today I'm tired :)

All good because today Wendi had a front desk/phone shift noon to five so I'm able to sit by her, help out, read and write, check socials and such. Took a short nap before we started the "gig".

Chicago weather has been back and forth, quite warm to a bit chilly- but we've got some flowers and other things ready to plant very soon, looking forward to both beauty and edibles as my girl has a truly green thumb!

I have a denominational conference to attend and get to hang out w. friends as well as stay with a local pastor buddy, looking forward to that this week. Next week my wife and some of our family will go camping for 3 nights at our fave Illinois camping spot, that'll be a nice break.

My next show is up near Flint, Michigan, here are the details of it- my time slot tba-:

GK Solo Blues set SAT May 23 - https://www.burtonchamber.org/blues

Then in June looks like a short trip to Missouri will take me to a couple prisons and possibly another show. If that last gig happens I'll post the details in my socials. Soon after that both GKB and myself solo have sets slotted at Audio Festival here in Illinois, always a great time.

So- many thanks for your prayers, hoping your Spring is being a good 'un!

And as always, thanks for stopping by! -Glenn
