Chapter Two

Sometimes we neglect hard and rough truths about our relationship with God. Hmmm- self-justification that places us in dire straights even though we are "the people of God".


Jeremiah chapter two is all by itself one of many- many places in God's commentary (Bible) about idol worship, and sadly, once again Israel, my country (U.S.) and I personally in various ways have had to (or should have!) face up to the near-countless times we have fallen into assuming innocence when God is calling our chosen trajectory backsliding.


Sober? Yes. And without actually taking the steps to face such truths horrible things happen in the reap-sow of life. It's history, fact, but something we are tempted to either ignore or re-write. Without the mercy of God people and nations are lost- including those claiming otherwise.


Please study, prayerfully read Jeremiah chapter two and consider!
