Blind?

I have a good friend who is fully blind -and his relationship to Jesus and his daily walk though like mine and yours is anything but perfect... yet it causes him to see FAR beyond that of plenty of people with perfect physical vision.

Jesus rocked a phrase that I've considered from time to time. "Blind guides". My morning recovery devo spoke to that issue. Addicts don't benefit by taking counsel from those who are still using -regardless of the substance.

A solid sponsor, guide, soul-friend who will walk with you through thick and thin is essential as I've mentioned repeatedly. Why? It's not only quite scriptural, it's made all the difference in my life in the most positive ways. Then too, the One literally Flawless "friend that sticks closer than a brother" is the Risen Jesus Christ Himself.

I would have been long dead in my own blindness and the grave had I not surrendered to His counsel, the truth of His words, His example and commands.

We do well to humbly take inventory of how our spiritual as well as natural eyes are truly seeing -for the light of God is the only way to keep from stumbling on the broken and thorn-filled paths of this world.

"He IS my light and my salvation"!

As always, thanks for stopping by! -Glenn
