A Deeper Muse on "Alienated"

Haven't we all felt and been on various levels treated like aliens (illegal, legal) and don't a massive amount of people do the same to Jesus? Yes. Denying Him, "othering" Him. He knows how it feels, hurts, what it did and does to Him and of course each and all of us when it has happened or now at times does. He went to the cross sinless for each of us (all) sinners. That's what was in my mind and heart when I wrote these many years ago. Think on this the next time you look down on someone, carry an attitude of disgust and willingness to treat them as unvaluable, unworthy of your love before God and others. Think how you are "served" when you've been treated like this! Think about how you serve "them" when such an attitude grips your own heart. -Glenn Kaiser
ALIENATED -REZ Band lyrics by Glenn Kaiser
I like Your name, I like Your face
Are You a charter member of the human race?
Are You ever frustrated by the things you see?
Does it make you sad or upset, like me?
Alienated from this world; talked about but politely neglected
You're alienated from this world, and I'm beginning to understand
With love in Your eyes, You confront the lies, the double standards, and the party ties
My one affiliation is with Your name; to share Your kingdom and to share your shame
Lord, You are alienated from this world; talked about but politely neglected
You're alienated from this world, and I'm beginning to understand
Alienated from this world; talked about but politely neglected
You're alienated from this world, and I'm beginning to understand
I have chosen the narrow road
Lord, You gave me such an easy load
I look at Your cross, and I see Your love
Lord, You're alienated from this world; talked about but politely neglected
You're alienated from this world, and I'm beginning to understand
Alienated from this world; talked about but politely neglected
You're alienated from this world, and I'm beginning to understand
And as always, thanks for stopping by. -Glenn
