Seek- also search after, explore, investigate, pursue, chase, hunt, inquire, look for, all of these are synonyms to the term.

There are massive numbers of scriptures that speak to the concept, plenty that in context pointing to seeking God Himself.

We often pursue pleasure, personal dreams, the praise and exultation of others and soooo many other things and people other than the Lord Himself. Further, there are things other than Himself He calls us to investigate, to do, new attitudes, various actions and so on. Yet seeking HIM, indeed, seeking Him for Himself and not merely what we want Him to do for us, for what we can "get out of Him" should be our focus.

I've been meditating on this matter recently and I think it's one of those essentials in any life of genuine spirituality and spiritual growth.

Here's a link for your own deep dive: https://biblehub.net/search.php?q=seek

Here I'll share just two verses to ponder:

When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, O LORD, I shall seek.” (Psalm 27.8)

You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. (Jer. 29.13)

And as always, thanks for stopping by! -Glenn
